Praise for referee Clare Thompson

By far the best referee we have had was Clare Thompson, last Sunday at Millmoor. So good in fact, that our parents were still talking about how well she conducted the game a week later.

 

She explained decisions well to the boys, was positive and encouraging throughout. Her communication was spot on all the way through and it made a real difference and added to a closely contested game, firmly and fair throughout. 

 

This is our fourth year of coaching and only a handful of referee's have come close to her performance, so Clare is a credit to the league and the game in general.

I know last season we gave the game ref a Christmas card in December and there's also the REFSpect campaign.

And we appreciate there's a long way still to go this season, however other referee's may struggle to play better; respect and credit where its due.
