The league has recieved this email today
Just a quick report on Mds Falcons U21friendly match today against the Horse and tiger.
We had a minutes applause in recognition of Bradley who sadly lost his long battle with cancer this week.
Our referee was Rob Sewell.
The first half was an amazing game with water breaks as it was so hot today.
The second half and started and just had a water break when a player noticed the ref didn't look to well. Asked him if he was onto which ref said I'm OK then he said no and went down on all fours on the floor with chest pains
The quick thinking of our manager and volunteers ensured that an ambulance was called.
We abandoned the match calling it a draw, the first responder was here in minutes followed by an ambulance.
All players and managers and spectators were very respectful to there referee and the whole situation. I was very proud of our club today we handled the situation with prevision even down to waiting for the ambulance and guiding them to the field.
Our thoughts and best are with Rob and his family now and we wish him the speediest of recoveries.
After today we are very keen on purchasing our own defibrillator for which we have a crowd funding page for.
